This is to confirm that Matthew Lawrence acted on my behalf in marketing and letting two apartments : Flat 6 and Flat 8, 86 – 88 Banner St.
Both flats were let promptly ensuring that they were not left vacant for very long (therefore with minimal loss of rental income) and were let at a rent I was more than happy with. The whole experience was completely hassle free and should I need to look for tenants in the future, Matthew would be my first port of call.

When we were looking for a property to buy in Clerkenwell, Spencer Thomas website really stood out as the most effective and easy-to-use. As a result we ended up looking at properties with Paul who was always polite, honest and efficient. He worked hard to make the purchase as straightforward as possible.
We were so pleased with the service that we used Spencer Thomas again to rent out our flat while we were working abroad and again Spencer Thomas came up trumps with pricing, finding a good tenant and making the whole process completely painless.
When we decided to sell the property there was no question of having anyone other than Spencer Thomas. The pricing, the listings, viewings and all advice we had from Paul were excellent.
None of the negative stereotypes apply to this estate agent. The service is efficient, friendly, honest and very personal. I just wish Spencer Thomas operated in our new neighborhood. Rebecca

Sorry it has taken me a little while to get back to you. I have been travelling and, as I write, sit on the wrong side of the world awaiting a flight.
As I hope you know, I thoroughly enjoyed dealing with you and, indeed, everyone I met at Spencer Thomas. You were honest, knowledgeable, decent and reliable. You got back to me when you said you would and you did not indulge in hyperbole or the issuing of unrealistic deadlines and demands. This is not true of all the agents I dealt with.
The only slight irritation was the HIP. Not your fault, but this document, despite the seller's signature, was not quite right. Not something over which I will loose any sleep and, in any case, I am not a great fan of HIPs.
Going back to the wider experience of buying in EC1, my assessment of your competitors is that most of them employ inexperienced staff who know little and care less. The three I actually used to view properties were atrocious in terms of knowing what they were selling and/or in terms of getting back to me. In fact, very often, they didn't.
I hope this helps. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and was reassured to find someone who actually wanted to sell me the right property

Further to our talk at the branch earlier, I wanted to re-iterate my endorsement for Danny Payton. In the course of searching for a flat I have dealt with at least one, usually a few estate agents from each of the agencies covering the EC1 area.
Danny was far and away the most helpful and the most knowledgable about the property, and is also able to boast characteristics such as good manners and punctuality that I would have liked to take for granted among all estate agents, but were lacking in several. Hang on to him.

We started looking for a two bedroom flat for two UCL students at the end of June 2011. We approached various estate agents and found that Spencer Thomas was by far the best one. Joseph Cullinane was the agent responsible for showing us flats. He immediately grasped what we were looking for and therefore did not show us flats which were completely unsuitable. His knowledge of the Clerkenwell area is excellent and his advice was extremely valuable.
We only saw two flats with Spencer Thomas and immediately realised that one of them was perfect. The "offer/acceptance" process went very smoothly. The solicitors of the vendor then proved somewhat slow and unreliable but once again Joseph certainly did his best to try to help move things forward.
We finally exchanged mid-September and my son and his friend are absolutely delighted with the flat. My husband and I feel that we have made a very good investment as we should be able to rent the flat to young City workers once our son has completed his course at UCL.
We are extremely grateful to Joseph for all his help and professionalism.
