Angel is now a thriving and desirable area of London. Upper Street, the main street, has lots of clubs, bars, restaurants and shops. It is busy during the day with shopper and at night. As well as the usual chain shops there are a number of high quality specialist shops. There is a wonderful small Sunday morning market. Camden Passage is known for its collection of antique and curio shops. The Business Design Centre in Tetbury Place regularly has interesting exhibitions. But step away from the central areas and Angel has many quiet side streets, mainly consisting of Victorian and Georgian terraced housing. Notable developments include Angelis, currently under construction, and Ice on Goswell Rd. There are also good walks to be had along the Grand Union Canal and City Road Basin.
