Holborn (WC2)

A very popular and highly desirable place to live. Properties in Holborn do not hang around. Principally a legal area and home to most of Britain's Inns of Court and the Old Bailey, there is less residential property available in Holborn compared to other areas such as Clerkenwell. Holborn is conveniently situated between the cultural delights of the West End and the work life of the City. You can even walk to the Embankment from here. Holborn is busy during the week but quiet at weekends and in the evenings. The area has quite a bit of history, and despite the best efforts of the Luftwaffe there's still a good deal of original architecture around. On top of that you've got some of the best pubs in London, some nice (if rather stuffy) restaurants, and a variety of shopping, including the diamond and jewellery centre that is Hatton Garden.
